NS 135 snakes through one of my favorite photo spots on the S-Line. Just west of Old For~, the looping Blue Ridge Mountain grade follows twisting Mill Creek. This is near MP S-114 between Old Fort and Dendron.

The Belmont hopper train 73R makes a noisy and dramatic entrance into Ridgecrest, NC. The train is exiting Swannanoa Tunnel and crossing the Eastern Continental Divide. It's all downhill from here into Asheville.
